An 18-year-old from Hooven, Ohio, Christopher Davis, was tragically killed Saturday morning in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 74 near the 170-mile marker in West Harrison, Indiana. According to the Indiana State Police, Davis was traveling westbound when his motorcycle rear-ended a pickup truck at approximately 7:45 a.m. The impact ejected him from the motorcycle, resulting in critical injuries. He was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured and remained at the scene, cooperating fully with investigators. No other vehicles were involved, and authorities have stated that weather and road conditions were clear at the time of the crash. The investigation remains ongoing, with crash reconstruction specialists reviewing speed, following distance, and other contributing factors.

Christopher Michael Davis was a 2025 graduate of Taylor High School in Cleves, Ohio, and a resident of Hooven, a small community along the Ohio River. Known to friends as someone full of energy and humor, he had a deep passion for motorcycles, cars, and anything mechanical. He had recently begun an HVAC apprenticeship and was preparing to continue his education in trade school.

Family and friends describe him as outgoing, kind-hearted, and always willing to help others. He was especially close to his family and was known for assisting neighbors with yard work and other tasks without being asked. Those closest to him say he had a fearless personality and a love for riding that began in childhood and only grew stronger with time.

His family shared that Christopher was a beloved son, brother, and friend whose presence brought laughter and light into the lives of those around him. His mother, Lisa Davis, expressed the family’s grief, saying he was “just a boy with so much life ahead of him.”

A small memorial has been created outside the family’s home in Hooven, where friends and neighbors have left flowers, candles, and messages of remembrance. A candlelight vigil is being planned in his honor.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash. Toxicology results and a full reconstruction report are pending.

Christopher Davis is survived by his mother, Lisa Davis; father, Michael Davis; stepfather, Thomas Jenkins; sister, Megan Davis; and extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on May 1, 2026, in Cleves, Ohio, with burial to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family has requested donations to motorcycle safety programs or a scholarship fund established in his name.

Christopher will be remembered as a young man full of promise, energy, and love for life. Though his time was short, his impact on those who knew him will not be forgotten.

He is deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
