Missing Juvenile Alert: Jovan James Krause-Depa, Philadelphia

The Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 12-year-old boy, identified as Jovan James Krause-Depa. According to authorities, Jovan—who is also known by the nickname “JJ”—was reported missing by his mother after he was last seen at his residence on the 1600 block of Lewis Street.

Investigators say Jovan is known to spend time at Hissey Playground, as well as in the surrounding area near Frankford Avenue and East Monmouth Street. These locations are now part of the ongoing search efforts, as officials work to gather information that may lead to his whereabouts.

Jovan is described as a Black male, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing around 127 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. At the time he was last seen, he was wearing a Philadelphia Eagles hoodie, black pants, and yellow and green sneakers.

Authorities are treating the case with urgency and are encouraging anyone who may have seen Jovan or who has information about his location to come forward immediately. Even small details could prove critical in assisting investigators and helping to ensure his safe return.

Members of the public are urged to contact East Detectives at 215-686-3243 with any relevant information. In situations where Jovan may be seen or immediate assistance is required, individuals are advised to call 911 without delay.

Police emphasize that community awareness and cooperation are essential in cases involving missing children, and they are hopeful that public support will help bring Jovan home safely.
